    Latest Brugler Live Cattle (P) Report

    Cattle futures closed sharply lower, with August off the most at $1.12. The Cattle on Feed report was bullish on paper, but we saw “sell the fact” profit taking. Estimated Monday slaughter was 126,000 head, down from 127K last week and 131K a year ago. Wholesale prices were mixed on light to moderate offerings. Choice was up $2.08, while Select was quoted 9 cents lower.
